• May 2019: I gave a tutorial on Data-Driven Analysis of Events in Distribution Synchrophasors at The First IEEE International Conference on Smart Grid Synchronized Measurements and Analytics in College Station, TX.

2018

• September 2018: Six new members have joined our research group: Motin, Mohasinina, Ehsan, Alireza, Milad, and Palberz.
• August 2018: The slides for two Big Data Analytics panels at the IEEE PES General Meeting are available at PingThings, PecanSt, NuGrid, Oncor, ISO NE, GridBright.
• May 2018: We received a $3.8 Million grant from the UC Office of the President to establish a new research center on Power Distribution Cyber Security.
• March 2018: I serve as the Guest Editor-in-Chief for the IEEE Trans. on Smart Grid Special Issue on Theory and Application of PMUs in Power Distribution Systems.

2017

• November 2017: We have received four new grants in 2017 from DoE, NSF, and CEC adding up to $4.8 Million.
• October 2017: I have received the Marlan and Rosemary Bourns College of Engineering 2017 Distinguished Teaching Award
• September 2017: We received a $270 K grant from NSF to study convergence bids in electricity markets.
• June 2017: I received the Bourns College of Engineering 2017 Distinguished Teaching Award.
• March 2017: We received a $3.2 Million grant from DoE to develop a DER management system in Riverside.
• January 2017: We received a $2.1 Million grant from CEC in collaboration with CSULB to develop IoT-based building energy management systems.
